4th grade PACE at FCE celebrated National Thank a Mail Carrier Day by completing critical thinking activities and writing thank you postcards to our mailman, Mr. Sammy. The highlight of the day was finishing up our Pringles Challenge and seeing whose Pringle was packaged effectively enough to survive a trip through the postal system.

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary School pretended to be paleontologists today. They chiseled away at dinosaur eggs and hatched their own dinosaurs. Then, each child found his/her dinosaur name on the information sheet and learned more information about it. In PreK, messy hands and smiles mean they had FUN! #teamAES

Mrs. Lisa’s and Mrs. Margie’s PreK students at Ackerman Elementary learned about Groundhog’s Day 2021. The students watched a video of Punxsutawney Phil being woken up to predict the weather, read a Scholastic Weekly Reader about shadows, and they made their own groundhogs. The students took the groundhogs outside to see if they could see the shadows. #teamAES
