The 6th grade gifted students at AES held a Mock Presidential Election on Monday to conclude their unit on the constitution and the election process. Each gifted student got the opportunity to be poll workers or poll marshal as each 2nd through 6th grade student voted at their appointed precinct. After a long day, the votes were counted and Donald J Trump was determined the winner after receiving 227 votes to Joe Biden’s 90 votes. #teamAES

Junior High and Varsity Girls basketball teams will be in action at Ethel today. Junior high boys tip off at 5:00 followed by junior high girls and Varsity girls. Tickets will be sold at the door for $6. Come out and support our Chargers!!

Fun at the Fall Festival!
WES 2nd Grade enjoying Fall Festival.
2nd grade decorated their classroom pumpkin to match the book Snow White and the seven dwarfs. The challenge: Decorate a class pumpkin in 30 minutes. Each student had specific jobs to complete to get it done. The boys put a base coat on the pumpkin, and while it dried, they worked on the forest setting. Then four different students painted blue for her dress. The girls made the hair, and the student-teacher put the blue glitter on. The students made the mouth out of modeling clay then glued the eyes and mouth on the pumpkin. Finally, each student that was a dwarf, made a little dwarf using a small apple with a hat, eyes, button nose, and cotton beard. The students did a great job with teamwork. #WeirExcellenceShines!
