Schedule Change: Softball will be in action against Kosciusko tomorrow. JV will play at 3:00 and Varsity will play at 4:30. Come out and support the Lady Chargers.

CCHS had parental involvement last night. Parents learned about the different state tests. They also tested their own knowledge by taking a practice test like their children do at school. We appreciate all the parents who came out to help support their children and CCHS.





Due to MDOT Closing part of Hwy 9 past the coal mine buses 71, 78 and 79 will be running late this afternoon. They will have to take a detour which will take longer.


Ackerman Elementary School will celebrate Read Across America the week of March 2nd through March 6th. Students are encouraged to dress up to celebrate the week. The school will have special readers each day and will also have an appearance from The Cat in the Hat!


5th graders in Mrs. Hollis’ class at Ackerman Elementary School earned a Bumpers lunch for achieving 80% or higher on their tests for the last two weeks!





5th graders in Mrs. Miller’s class at Ackerman Elementary School worked on finding and analyzing text evidence from the actual March on Washington pamphlet from 1963!





4th graders in Mrs. Jean Maree Mcculloch’s class at Ackerman Elementary School who were Top Writers selected a Weavers Lunch as their reward!


Pre-K students in Mrs. Zirlott’s class at Ackerman Elementary school got to visit the PBIS store on Friday to spend their Charger Bucks!


6th graders at Ackerman Elementary School held a mock trial where they examined evidence and provided arguments to plead their case. These students won the trial for their homeroom and were rewarded with Bumpers & a movie during lunch.





Health science students haVe been studying the cardiovascular system. Today, they were studying heart anatomy and systemic blood circulation.



We appreciate Josh Hough taking the time to come and speak to students at CCCTC. He is a former CCCTC student himself. He spoke about his time serving in Iraq as well as the opportunities available through the guard!


3rd block Culinary Arts students also made delicious pasta dishes using the pasta they made earlier this week!




1st block Culinary Arts students used the pasta they made to prepare different pasta dishes. They were all delicious!




Culinary Arts 1st year students recently learned to make their own dough and use it to make pasta.



Health Science and Sports Medicine students will be providing mock pre-participation physicals to 8th grade students on Monday as a way to promote the CTE programs. The students will see demonstrations of athletic taping and/or CPR-First Aid care as well!
